My mam has 2 sets of wheels for her bmw. Has the original 18" m sport wheels for her 1 series with Michelin pilots and she bought a second set for snow/cold temps off bmw with winter tyres. They were expensive but bmw keep her other set and detail her car for free everytime she requires her wheels changed. They are very comfortable the winter tyres but wouldnt recommend them all year round. Only if the weather goes below 8C as they dont have the best grip
The ESB were putting winters on their vans a year or two ago for all year around use . I don't know if this is still the case.
We used winters on the missus car into the summer until they wore out. I wouldn't think that the winters wear much quicker given the average temps we have here.

Got my own through the nct yesterday. Needed a bit of last minute map tweaking and a mixed match exhaust to get through emissions, but another year on the road [emoji106]

Fitted a set of winter tyres to Niamh's car in late 2014 as it needed tyres anyway. Big difference on very cold, icy morning, muxh more bite in the tyre i found. Left them on throughout the summer and there's no more than normal wear, they're still in great shape for this winter. She's not going fast enough to put real heat through them.

Winter tyres were In short supply on the m11 this morning . Passed 2 serious accidents this morning in the space of 3 miles . Total of 7 or so cars involved in the 2 of them .
Amazing how people don't change the way the drive to suit the weather conditions . So suppose it makes no difference what tyres they are on

i passed that myself this morning there was a small white going onto a flat bed wit both front wheels gone clean off it some people really need to learn how to drive in bad weather

Driving on a section of motorway earlier. Dark and wet conditions and the construction zone speed is 80. Cars are flying past me at 100-120KM. Wish the cops were there for once, they are usually parked on that section.
I wAs up kippure with two of the kids tobacaning yesterday. That drone doing the vid must have been right above us. What you don't see in the vid is that truck causing major traffic issues. For cars going both ways.
Have no idea why a truck would be up there on the day that was in it, another day tripper.
Hey Johny, bottom end failure unfortunately. Engine getting rebuilt. It sure did. Flew through the NCT as soon as the second CAT went in. I have it in my garage, txt me when you have a minute to collect it.
