I doubt it be louder at all, it's fairly quiet on tick over and very raspy up the revs. Fair barks when driving it on like
That’s where the car is at now , all fabrication and welding done , interior painted and sound deadening going in ,
I’ve opted for extra to keep the cabin quiet and comfortable , it does make a difference on long journeys,
Car should be back rolling soon then off to paint

My car got painted about a years ago. He sprayed in 2 parts and in a result l have two tone (or as l call it panda effect). Now lm waiting for a year to justify his jobs and spray it in one color. Imo is very hard to fecked up white color. But here we are. He has deadline in mid January and then he is getting solicitors letter. He tried to offload my car to another painter but was told "no, you focked up you are fixing it". He is blaming the shop that mixed the paint for him. The car is still stripped and parked with my mechanic which lm avoiding as every time he is asking when am l taking the car as he needs the space. So here we are. Nearly lost passion for the car without even driving it once....

I'd be straight on a solicitors letter to be honest. Your paying for a service, service was not up to standard. Either he does it again, or he's not paid.

I know some lads are patient with it all, and ye may know him personally or something (I don't know who is doing it)
But when paying money, friendship or whatever goes out the window. That makes it a professional transaction and if it's not done, it has to be fixed. Simple.
Same when I was valeting. Only happened once, but I didn't do the boot, completely forgot lol and it was a buddy of mine, he said it, and I brought back the car about a week later, done the boot, and gave the car another hoover and wash again.
Your paying for a service, and you didn't receive the service you paid for. Simple
Sorry worded that wrong , I first approached him in 2019 after seeing his work and calling over to him , he took the car 29th Dec 2023 as he had so much work booked in so just over a year he has it.
It’s a long time but coming close to the finish line , could have been done at a faster pace in my opinion but it is what it is best not to rush I suppose, plus he has 5-6 other cars in the garage

Doing anything with cars is a pain , thats why I did 99% of the work on mine , I cannot do bodywork/paint ,
If you get a flakey, un competent person that cannot manage their time properly you’re in for a world of torture .
It might be a hard pill to swallow but don’t avoid the mechanic , he’s storing your car while you wait ,

I'm patient only because most of the time lm so busy with work that l don't have time to think about it. As for the mechanic, before Christmas we spoke and agreed on monthly rent which l suggested to him ages ago so it's somehow sorted but shouldn't be my problem. My problem was that l was so busy with work that l didn't view the car when was ready just in good faith l send him the payment and send a fellow to collect the car and drop it off to the mechanic to put it all together, and then l got a call that the car doesn't look right. Looks like he painted the bits that was off the car like bumpers,mirrors etc 1st and then he painted the rest. For some reason he order paint twice and part of the car is pure white color and the rest is off color with yellow shade in it. I tried to look past it but l couldn't. He needs to fix it.
Look at the end of the day it's his fu*k up 100% so if you do go down the route of a solicitor's letter he has nothing goin for him on his side, the car is goin to get done properly whenever that may be, it's a bollox but that's just the way it's going to be now by the looks of it..
