With all the talk of horror petrol stations & engines blowing up because of washed fuels ect ect where does everyone go ??

Personally I always go to Esso or texico where are you going ?..

same as that I wont touch anything else unless im very stuck for fuel and I only buy from busy stations the one beside my work is esso and mental busy always so that's where I buy usually

Esso grange road, topaz Taylor's lane or maxol balinteer.
No engine failure over last 8 years

I've a real STI though..... :shtf:   :beerdrink:

Two piss heads on the happy juice on a school night tut tut tut

:trolls: :beerdrink: :puke3:

I was chatting a fella who drives tankers, he was saying that apllegreen and I think esso draw straight from docks to pumps, he said most of the others put their own additives into the fuel before it gets to pumps.
I go to applegreen

Is Maxol any good i usually go to applegreen but keep getting told maxol is d best?? :beerdrink: :beerdrink: :beerdrink:

I always go to maxol, if I am stuck Texaco. I won't use Esso, or Tesco or the independents down here, I notice even in my daily driver Golf Gti a drop in power and mileage any where other than Maxol.

Esso only!

Maxol and applegreen is muck apparently. Told this by a friend who works in the ports unloading fuel and who's a petrol expert. He swears by esso... Consistently the better as maxol and applegreen now put E5 to take 92/93 octane to 95... Whereas esso is 95 octane across the board

very interesting Jamie , going to give esso a shot next time im filling the car , id use maxol as a rule since buying the car ,

been told by many in the industry including the old man who drives for maxol/topaz not to buy maxol's fuel, apparently if your car is imported from japan and isnt mapped for irish fuel, then you have to go to maxol, if your car is mapped for irish fuel stay away from maxol as it blows up engines, how much truth there is to this i don't know tbh

also agree with baz, been using nothing but maxol in both my subarus almost 8 years of only filling up in maxol stations, never ever had an issue..

Hi lads, spent 5 years drawing petrol round the country in tankers. Any genuine topaz or esso stations are sound. Apple green and maxol buy there fuel from topaz. All terminals sell lower grade petrol that has no additives to smaller stations. Never buy anything from stations close to border Kero is clear in the north and is used to thin out the petrol.
Hope this helps
