Will you buy Subaru again?

Yeah ill buy another one again, hopefully a nice sti bug or blob next year in blue
I use mine every day for work but have the wifes diesel astra for spinning around and the long journeys

yes hope to be getting another one being driving a subaru for the last 11 years so not going to stop now :subaru:

Interesting question, I would definitely buy Subaru again but in fairness the mindless distortion of the country's car market that the Greens carried out in 2008 is a big barrier to renewing beyond 2008. If I was going sensible beyond that date, I'd definitely look at a diesel Legacy. I couldn't justify 2k+ per annum on tax so that rules out a turbo petrol post-08. The BRZ could be an option as said above. I'd say it's part of a bigger question as to how people are going to enjoy performance motoring from now on with the way tax is and the vast improvement in TurboDiesel technology with the 530d mentioned above a prime example of serious everyday affordable performance from diesel.

Unfortunately, it's only a matter of time before someone in power clocks the fact that approx 70% of new cars bought are efficient diesel-powered motors that bring less into the coffers than the previous mix of small to midsize petrol engines. I can see another knee-jerk intervention in the car market via taxation that will look to claw back some money from this sector. 70% is too large a figure to ignore.

It's probably going to be a case of a sensible daily driver with weekend toy or else a performance diesel used all of the time for most folks, although the latest Megane hot hatch seemed to have reasonable CO2 figures that wouldn't break the bank to tax, so maybe hot hatches with smaller turbo'd engines could also provide an option.

As Eric said , would be very happy with a diesel forester or outback as a daily, family car ( although the 2.5 petrol outback with CVT gearbox is amazing good on petrol) and have the impreza for the rest of My life. I guess those days are gone when You could have a Subaru Turbo Petrol car as a daily driver. NA petrol subaru just doesn`t make sense since the same model is available with brilliant boxer diesel. The only reason I would consider an NA petrol is because diesel doesn`t exist with AUTO box.

Sweercakes, 270km A TANK, JESUS :shock2: I thought 400 was bad haha enjoy!!

Smaller tank and a lead foot don't help. But I was probably even a bit generous at 270 :icon_sad:

I would consider a bzr , need to see the prices etc, but I ll always keep a impreza about

Looking at around 26k sterling..but low co2 and high mpg should see it relatively cheap in Ireland..it's not the bargain it was originally supposed to be but I think the low running costs will offset the initial layout

I would 100% buy another 1!!!!! The first time I saw and heard a scooby was Bertie Fishers [RIP] impreza at the rally of the lakes,I think it was either 1992 or 1993.I will never forget that sound, the bonnet scoop and the blue colour with the gold wheels!!!!! :icon_pray: :icon_pray: If those wankers in power make it too expensive too drive her on the road, well fu*k them :new_2gunsfiring_v1: ,I will drive her on track days!!!!!!!!!!!!! :subaru:

That's my future with the Impreza. Track days. Can't afford to run one full time and can't see it changing ever.

Fuckers.

I'll definately buy Subaru again. But unfortunately its likely to be a diesel. Considering a diesel hatch early in the new year.

probably not , ,

on saying that the hawk will be in my garage for a long time to come ,after nearly 7 years of having an impreza of one shape or another it would be impossible not to have one around , sure they are horrid to keep petrol in and tax but its worth the cost to me , i have a tdi transporter that im doing all my driving in now and intend to keep a van of some description for daily motoring
