to be fair that was merely a statement on a "vote no" poster which was followed by a question mark. heard a debate about it on the radio the other day and it said that was merely a possibility to have minimum wage at €1.84, but who's to say Lenihan wouldnt do the same anyway because theres nothing to suggest any outside powers will have any influence on our wage rates.

If it was in Irelands better interest to vote no, surely one of the political parties would be shouting for it. Fine Gael and Labour are out to hang Cowen at every corner but on this subject, they seem to be standing together.

I've heard no logical reason to vote no yet. But Europe has benefitted Ireland greatly since we joined, giving Irish farmers a more open market to sell into and how much European support have we recieved in funding. I'm not into politics nor do i support any political party, but I feel that from what i've heard I think it would be better to support a yes vote.

You may want to look up who is hanging them posters.

That particular poster belongs to Coir. Aka: Youth Defence. Scary, scary bunch of individuals.

I didnt know that :icon_omg:

I will still vote no again

it should have been case closed when we voted no. looking after thenselves is what there good at.

I agree this country should not be forced to retake this poll. Having voted once, it should be enough whether it be a YES or a NO.

+1

minimum wage wont be 1.84
the eu dont set the minimum wage in this county the irish government do
id love to vote no just to piss off the government :mooner:
but realistically were a tiny country thet depend on being part of something bigger
the old saying dont bite the hand that feeds you :dontknow:

is there any formal group out there campaigning for a no vote that have a credible background??

I understand wht people are saying the first time we voted should have been enough, but to be fair, the government have got guarantees/clarifications on the reasons people voted no the last time.

If ireland votes no to piss the government off, it will not only do that, it'll leave us as outcasts in Europe at a time when europe and the euro is probably the only thing that has kept the IMF out of this country.
