my nipple is fu*$ed

You need to get into a good engineering shop, one that does supplies and fitting work, maybe one that does alot of agricultural machinary that would have a supply of various nipples and would have taps to suit.
If your threads are not completely gone, you could get the same size tap and use it to clean up threads

If you did end up blanking the nipple,
You could remove caliper from bracket, take disk off, and hold the caliper horizontal with the good nipple facing up, and slightly angle the caliper that nipple is highest point. put the disk in between the pads and bleed it that way, and then refit to car when bled, without opening hoses etc etc in theory i think that should work.
You would need to be like an octopus to manage it all yourself, but by holding the caliper horizontal i think it may work... not sure how to blank the nipple safely do.

@ Ken.... In theory Ken... that could work! You'd certainbly need a few sets of hands to give you a dig out.

@ Murf8969... Try ringin T.E.D (Tooling & Engineering Distributors) in Ballymount, Tallaght... 450 5811.

They may be able to help with the bleed nipple... if not... they stock all the tap & die sets you'd need... all metric sizes and different pitches.

cheers lads i really appreciate the advice!ill let yous know wat i did hopefully be back on the road soon

well lads sorted the problem ended up blocking up the bleed nipple it bled fine and the brakes defo work, but the problems keep coming now the pedal is very soft i thought i didnt bleed it properly so i bled the hole system two more times but on looking up some of the american forums turns out i have to upgrade the master cylinder and maybe even the brake booster i realy didnt think it would be this difficult and labour intensive,ah sure its all a learning curve il eventually get it sorted :subaru:

Got my brembo's on no bother without replacing anything and they never miss a beat even on the track.

what car you driving keith?because the forum i was on said that different years have different size master cylinder 02 to 05 have 1 1/16" and 06 07 have 1" diameter and that was wrx,s so presumabley my car being a 1.6 has an even smaller one, like they work a hell of a lot better than the 1 pot obviously! but its the brake pedal feel its very soft!!

For all you know the chamber with blocked nipple could be half full of air, you cannot bleed this system with one nipple like you have been told above, you at least need to try what i suggested as a bleeding method... Spongy always suggest air... and with what you have done, that is more likely cause than anything

i did exactly what u said twice!what im goin to do now is send it in to a local mechanic get him to bleed the entire system see what results from that and if its still spongy see about getting a new master cylinder! ive done just about all i can do at this point, could air have backed up in the abs pump??if i leave the car running when i bleed the brakes will that push out the possible trapped air? :ponder2:

If you have drained the system completly, you could have air at every junction and joint, i had this before, you may bleed everything,.
