Naughty Naughty

Jesus christ i honestly would have to be restrained from going up there with a sledgehammer, im angry just reading that!

wow... this is exactly the reason, why I usually like to stay present when my car is being worked on. I find it hard to trust ppl, I value my car very much and I want to know whats being done to it. Unfortunately not many garages will let you stay and 'overwatch'... well guess why...

Well i dont think thats fair to say overall.

But this is sure mental maddness. And surprised by where its at.

99% of the time its myself that would test drive any car.

On the other hand i would not work on cars with dash cams installed/recording until removed.

But thats for privacy reasons.

Example myself and collegue having private chat about anything from family, kids, health etc etc. Is not the "right" of a customer to listen in to.

Its exactly what you have said .

A "trust" thing between customer and workshop. Thats to be earned/gained on both sides.

Hopefully we have gained this trust Zheiko :)

Honestly, I have had my share of doubts when I came the first time, and its generally hard to gain my trust. I mean, I am coming from originally Communistic country from behind the wall, where your brother would give you up for 20euro(a bit overexaggerated, but you get the point). There is nothing personal in my 'trust issues' Dave, so dont worry. Plus you know I did let you work on my car while I wasnt there:), I am talking more about the generic garages outside of our club.

Edit: Just wanted to add, that the great thing on this club taught me one thing. Ppl in here are generally loving cars, everything they do, they do because they enjoy it. Unfortunately, there are ppl that are pissed off with their life, are working on cars, but dont like doing it. But this kind of ppl would not probably be present in Car Entusiastic club like this one is.

for such a well known and trusted garage in the uk subaru world its pretty bad tbh...

Feck me that is shocking .

That is the end of the "clinic" so

Who'd bring their car there now .
I dont know there exact staff count in what areas.

As 2 bodyshop

6 workshop etc etc etc.

But i think was dealt with very silly so far.

The 2 guys should be sacked with immediate effect.

And rectify for customer issues had. Addressed. And refunded the bill at the time.

Then would be seen to be fair. Dealt with situation. And done what should have.

Any employee can go crazy. For any reason. McDonalds staff member kills customer because wanted 15c for a bbq sauce :)

See what i mean

Same place that fudged up the TypeR/22b build that burst in to flames on the roundabout?

Yeah it doesn't speak for the shop exactly just two idiot employees. But as an employer you need to scrutinise emplyee selection and supervise your employees as best as you can. But can't help the fact that it reflect horribly on the shop.

Yup don't disagree with anything you said .

But if you were an ordinary customer wanting something doing to your car would you go there after this badly handled situation regardless of it been a one off or rogue employee .

Ive heard of worse
mate of mine waiting to collect his car
garage owner had a shooter in his trousers
think so he got paid for work he didn't really do :cuckoo:

No that was a totally different place.

48hrs previous that garage knew of a fuel leak.

Its a simple as this for us

If customer does not want to pay for quality parts. In case of fire above.

Goodridge. Aeromotive. RCM etc.

Well then we dont want to work on your car. The amount of customers trying to save money. Try convince you use parts of lower quality etc is more then you think.

Age learns wisdom. And that means stick to your guns.
