Designed to lower the Levorg 2.0GT-S? price point, the 2.0GT Eyesight V-SPORT will be available since the 23rd of January in Japan for ? 3456000. The only powertrain available is the FA20DiT (300PS & 400Nm) paired to a Lineartronic CVT and AWD.
Exterior changes include blacked out 18 inch wheels, rear view mirrors, front grill, and rear emblems. Inside the front seats, shift boot and steering wheel have silver stitching, contrasting with the piano black instrument panel decor and chrome accents.

It's a real shame. Levorg has been detuned for EU and is on the run out for EU sales.

The most dynamic model going forward for EU will be Impreza e-Boxer arriving later this year.

Really nice looking car. Pity we won?t see any over here

not a big fan of the look:ponder::ponder:

[h=1]We bring back the Toyota Starlet[/h]
A modern pocket rocket inspired by the 80s icon

Next on our list of past icons to bring back is the Toyota Starlet, particularly the 60-series. This iteration has become a legend among car enthusiasts thanks to its low weight and rear-drive architecture. We chose the modified rally versions as our inspiration?and yes, it must be rear-wheel-drive.
As with our past designs, it is important to nail the general silhouette and the window shapes of the classic model because these were its distinctive characteristics. The front end was inspired by the 1980 facelift of the 60-series, the version that was available on our market. We give the familiar face a modern twist by making the upper grille overlap the LED headlights. Below it is a hexagonal lower main grille like the one you would find on other recent Toyotas. Like in the original, it has the traditional ?Toyota? lettering up front.
Moving on to the sides, we gave it clean, flat surfaces and prominent wheel arches inspired by the ones on the old Starlet rally cars. The blacked-out A-pillars and the black section on the C-pillars impart a modern touch, and also allow the car to have optional contrasting roof colors if desired. The placement of design elements at the rear follow that of the 60-series, but everything is now flush-fitting and the taillights are LED units. At the bottom of the rear bumper is an integrated diffuser. For those wondering, yes, that?s a Gazoo Racing badge on the lower right of the liftgate.
Two Gazoo Racing-tuned gasoline engines are available for the Modern Starlet: an M20A-FKS-based naturally aspirated 2.0-liter mill that puts out 187hp and 205Nm of torque, and an entry-level 1ZR-FAE-based naturally aspirated 1.6-liter motor that produces 145hp and 159Nm of torque. The smaller mill serves as the entry-level engine option in some markets. Both powerplants can be paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic tranny with manual shift function.
Our Modern Starlet measures 4,015mm long, 1,730mm wide, and 1,398mm, and rides on a 2,527mm wheelbase. It comes standard with 16-inch alloys shod with 205/50 R16 tires. Curb weight of the 2.0L manual variant is 1,150kg. Unlike the 2+2 86, our Starlet is a proper four-seater.
It uses a rear-drive TNGA architecture for small sporty cars, and features a MacPherson-strut front suspension and an independent multilink setup at the rear. The motor is set back slightly in the engine bay to improve weight distribution.
A Track Package for the 2.0-liter variant will also be made available. This includes a lowered sports-tuned suspension, wider wheels and tires, a TRD N2-inspired widebody kit, and sports seats. A rear seat-delete option is also available for this package to shave off approximately 17kg.
Our goal is to design a performance-oriented rear-wheel-drive hot hatch that will undercut both the 86 and the Mazda MX-5 by a wide margin. The 145hp 1.6-liter variant starts at an estimated P1.36 million, while the 187hp 2.0-liter variant has an entry price of P1.59 million.

Subaru has debuted the new Levorg STI Sport prototype today at Tokyo's Auto Salon. Built now on the Subaru Global Platform, the Levorg introduces a 1.8 liter H4 direct injected turbo engine, a new generation of Eyesight, and electronically controlled dampers.

STI emblems can be seen throughout the body and on the exhaust, with front, side and rear spoilers also added. The SI Drive selector now controls steering, damper and AWD presets in order to provide a high quality or sporty taste.

Now this looks nice:
The Toyota GR Yaris Has Arrived With All-Wheel Drive And A 257bhp Triple

Toyota has revealed its first homologation special since the Celica GT-Four, and it lives up to our high expectations

https://www.carthrottle.com/post/th...zv__ryvdikajb_u6qr4-0B8o4kij6Gv6LHeLq1wJgIo4g

We may only be a few days into 2020, but it doesn?t seem too soon to call this the most important fast car reveal of the year. We?re talking about the new Toyota GR Yaris, and despite extraordinarily high expectations, it looks to have met them. And then some.
The WRC homologation special has a completely unique body - the new, boggo Yaris is available only as a five-door vehicle, but the GR is in a three-door configuration. Plus, the roof is 91mm lower, and the doors are frameless, to give a coupe-like aesthetic. The icing on the cake is a set of widened arches for the fatter tyres and wider rear track.

Under that unique body you?ll find more unique stuff - the GR?s dedicated platform was created by joining the front part of the standard Yaris? GA-B architecture with the rear of the GA-C platform used for the likes of the Prius and Corolla. To help weight distribution, the battery has been mounted in the boot, and the engine positioned as far back as possible.
Speaking of which, the GR Yaris? method of propulsion is - intriguingly - an inline-three, rather than a four. But don?t go thinking it?s going to underwhelm - packing a single-scroll ball-bearing turbocharger, the 1618cc engine is good for a mighty 257bhp and 266lb ft of torque. It?s by far the most powerful production inline-three available right now, giving the GR Yaris a 0-62mph time of 5.5 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 143mph. Ford Fiesta ST - you ought to be watching your back.

That mighty thrust is channelled to all four wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox (no automatic option here). In theory, it can send up to 100 per cent of torque to the front or rear ends, but how the system behaves will mostly depend on what mode you?re in.
In ?Normal?, you?re looking at a 60:40 split. The car is at its fastest in the mostly 50:50 ?Track? setting, but if you want to introduce a little drifty fun into the mix, ?Sport? will give a 30:70 balance.

Toyota hasn?t gone into specifics about the GR Yaris? bespoke suspension system, although we do at least know it has an unusual MacPherson strut front/double-wishbone rear combination. Taking care of braking is a set of 356mm discs with four-pot calipers at the front, working with 297mm rotors at the rear squeezed by two-piston calipers.
225/40/18 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres are fitted as standard, switched for Michelin Pilot Sport 4s if you option the Circuit Pack, which also includes front and rear limited-slip differentials.

The best part of all of this is that the GR Yaris - built with input from both Toyota Gazoo Racing and Tommi M?kinen Racing - isn?t going to be a very limited-run special like the Yaris GRMN. Toyota will need to make a decent number of them to ensure the three-door body complies with WRC homologation rules, as it?ll be forming the basis of the firm?s next rally machine. Plus, the Japanese company will no doubt be wanting a return on the considerable investment necessary to make something like this.
All of this means it?ll have to be priced competitively. We still don?t know how much it?ll cost in the UK, but the RZ First Edition weighs in at 3.96 million Yen in Japan, which is just under ?28,000. It?s looking like this will be a homologation special for the masses.

I was thinking the same, why can't Subaru make something similar?
that rendering I shared in the other thread would be perfect, a pocket rocket

New Turbo Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ On The Way With 255BHP And New Name

https://www.grandtournation.com/car...JG4LDSipDTrqEGr4en5zUQs1vknYkKJU5d4DmqFN1BacY

The Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ have been a fan favourite since its inception in 2012. Its perfect balance and agility made up for its lack of power, but a torrent of aftermarket support has allowed the GT86/BRZ to be the perfect platform for high-powered builds. Now, both Japanese companies have revealed that a replacement is coming, based on the Toyota TNGA platform but with a Subaru powertrain.
This replacement will improve on both the GT86 and BRZ with a number of ?substantial changes?, the most poignant being the possible move to a turbocharged 2.4-litre Boxer engine from Subaru?s Ascent. The cars? balance, handling, and power will each be improved on, with the duo?s horsepower looking to increase from a spot over 200bhp to 255, plus a bump in torque, too, thank to a turbo. With the current cars producing 156lb-ft of torque and reaching 60mph in 7.6 seconds (manual variant), these improvements could see the sports car hitting high 6s.
The cabin will get a number of improvements, too, with a host of better materials being used to up quality and finish, while an influx of new technology will keep the cars up to date compared to the current market.

Of course, these additions will come at a cost, with the second generation looking to be more expensive than the first. However, compared to that of the Audi TT, Cayman, and even Alpine A110, it will be much cheaper and offer a similar take on the thrill of driving.
One final change to the model lineup will be its name, with ?GT86? being altered to ?GR86?, inline with Toyota?s new Gazoo Racing branding which is already being used by the Supra and new GR Yaris. Eventually, a hypercar will sit at the top of the GR food chain, but for now we?re already being spoilt with an incredible array of sports cars that, while maintaining a lower level of power than some, thrive on driving pleasure. Count us intrigued.

Ah look, I didn't buy a ticket, had to give other people a chance too lol
He can thank me later ????????
