Came home from work to find my car moved forward 1.5 foot onto footpath -was wondering who moved my car. Then checked back and saw all the damage done. Went and checked my CCTV and this is what I saw happened. She never came back to check damage or find out who owned the car. It looks like she accelerated hard into the back of the car. The handbrake was on full - it took some force to make the car move forward that much. Also you can see the alarm blaring (lights flashing). It looks like the bin lorry saw the whole thing. And to think if I didn't invest in the CCTV system she would have gotten away with it. Bought it because of all the damage that was being done to cars outside apartment. Damage yet to be evaluated... but what I could see rear lower panel/bumper moved in and popped off catches, mudguard popped and hanging, scratched, broken rear light cluster, boot won't open any more, massive dent on the 3" exhaust like someone hit top of it with sledgehammer.
Guards have'nt looked at this footage yet. I have more of her from this morning - she came back to drop the kids to school again so I have her reg and details and loads of pictures.
I don't think I should show her any mercy - she didn't think twice about me did she.
So I was thinking I should bring it to Carroll & Roche to assess the damage and get a price off them before telling her? Good idea?
