i have a full turbo back decat exhaust system, turbo upipe, full perrin air intake, samco intercooler hose kit, sti intercooler, hks ssqv dump valve. have ordered heat wrap for the downpipe and exhaust and a fuel pump then getting her remapped next.
[/quote]

so are you not running any extra boost?

surely if she's decated and not mapped she'd over boost! :dunno:

no i am not, thats all i have done to her, fuel pump getting fitted this week and downpipe heatwrapped then i am getting a remap

Have to say some of the figures look a bit on the high side..... be interesting to see what readouts people would get on other rolling roads..... a 65bhp gain with those mods and without a re-map seems wrong :ponder:

Think that was the elephant in the room...

every1 elses read ok with there mods like dont think id be the odd 1 out that got mine wrong :ponder:

the cars only 7 months old mate think it is reacting very well just with them mods

There are a few that look to high in fairness.

well im booked in for a remap 8th march shes already to go and then il stick her back on again and il post up a pic of the printout and see what shes doing after a remap

I'm not having a go at you mate - there are more than a few that look a bit off if you ask me....
I just don't like people being given false information..... maybe when you've got the re-map you should bring it to a different RR and see how they compare?

Is it on the same rollers though ?

Alan your making some bold statements there I know the guys at A.I for years and one thing about them is they dont fill people with sh*t.
Those rollers they have are one of the most accurate you can get. They would have nothing to gain by giving higher readings.
Sure I will give you an example about how honest they are that day a skyline came in for a power run and he had spent a few quid with another tuner who fitted a boost gauge and other mods and whacked the boost up. His car was dyno'd and it made way under what it should be making.
So johnny the owner taught he was running too much boost turned it down and it made over 400bhp and the other tuner told him it was making over 400bhp the other wa. All it was doing was blowing hot air and he was actually loosing power.

Sure my spec-c made exactly what bob rawle calculated on his delta dash and what spec-c's in the uk are making with the same mods.

isnt it possible it was set up for your spec c and gave higher readings to some of the other lads?
How do account for standard cars making higher than factory figures on worse fuel with no mods?
no one is saying the lads are filling people with sh*t but could it be that the same settings and the same transmission losses where calculated for all the cars? it being a rolling road day an all...using the same formulae % for tranmission losses would deffo explain the auto having a higher reading..I dont know i wasnt there and am not trying to be a smart ar$e..but it is a possibility..i suppose another factor would be that it was such a cold day much denser air...again i was there and am no rolling road expert just putting it out there

I dont know mate but there were other cars there which were mapped for fuel and mods and made what they should be making micks s204, his type r etc

I'm not making any bold statements - I'm just giving my opinion.....
As I said in another post - standard unmapped cars cannot make higher BHP than standard figures on our crappy fuel - just not possible :ponder: Do you not agree??

And if a de-cat, BOV, uprated hoses etc can give you a 65 BHP gain then my P1 must be over the 340 mark - and it's not.....
I'm not slagging anyone off here as I think rolling road figures are just a bit of crack as they don't represent how fast the car would be on the road or track.

As I said before I'd like to see the same cars tested on different rollers to see if they got the same figures :dunno:
Was there anyone there who had their car on a different RR before? If so how did the figures match up?

I'm sure the equipment in A.I is spot on but there must be a reason why standard cars are reading higher??

Alan.

so u want every1 to go stick ther cars on 2 dif rr to see if its correct. its a 7 month old acr mate with a few mods its gona giv full power out put and deliver more cause engine is newer ulike older cars have lost power over the years and dont react as good with them mods.
