Even if you bring in an 08 are you still hit with higher tax rate or is it only for the last 6 months of reg as car wasn?t reg here at time is it at their descrection when you go to sort out paperwork

By no means justifying it but in fairness he was asking for it. Why would you hand over money for a car to stranger and leave it and the taxbook behind you?
Also not exactly shocked considering the seller is from Prospect in Limerick, wouldn't be the most affluent part of the city!

the fellow had a foreign name and may not knows his ways around here and specific parts of Limerick. I'm sure I have seen this car before either here or in person this unusial grill is hard to forget

Hence why you'd give a deposit, if its gone it's only a 50 or 100. A bit silly, even if he wasn't a local guy, I wouldn't go to France and trust everyone lol
