The Subaru Impreza WRX STI 22B was launched in 1998 to commemorate Subaru's 40th Anniversary, as well as their 3rd consecutive Manufacturer's title in the FIA World Rally Championship. The 22B is a Limited Edition 2 door wide-body coupe version of the STI WRX, highly regarded as one of the best handling cars ever produced. Just 399 cars were planned for the Japanese Domestic Market, with all 399 selling out within the first 30-48 hours of their release. An additional 24 cars were produced for other world markets with 16 cars delivered to the UK, 5 cars to Australia and three cars given to the Pro Drive Rally Team and all cars were produced in the same famous Sonic Blue metallic paintwork. Equipped with an EJ22 (2.2 litre) engine producing 210kW the 22B soars from 0-100 in just 5.3 seconds. The 22B also features some exciting WRC rally spec equipment including, Bilstein suspension, 17 inch gold BBS Elektra wheels, Brembo brakes and a ceramic sintered twin plate clutch. Build number 301 available here is one of the legendary 399 delivered to Japan cars and presents in excellent condition.
