So your looking for a mint classic impreza with a rebuild by a reputable company and your fussy . . . . . . . . But you dont want to spend money
Why would you not spend 6-7K on a 97 type r with a new rebuild or even the 98 type r that also has a fresh rebuild with some nice bits and pieces for 6,250

I dont get why you mentioned this if you are on the look out for a mint '97 type R but only willing to spend around 4k. Hardly mint with rear damage
Just to echo what Pete has posted...I think you are asking for too much while staying within your budget.

If you are after a clean type R and you are as fussy as you say you are... you are wasting your time trying to get a a good, rebuilt car for 4k. You get what you pay for... and trust me... it'll cost you a lot more in the long run buying a 1800 car with rear damage.
What do you want... a mint car that's freshly buiilt...?????? Then it's going to cost you at least 6k! And there are plenty of great members cars for sale here... worth that all day long!
If you choose to ignore this... and do find yourself a car for 4k or less.... then you have my word, that car willl cause you nothing more than heartache and expense.... as a a 4k type R... is a 4k basket case car!
As Andy C said... you are asking too much while trying to stay within your budget!![]()

Good luck with you search all the same i hope you get the car your after.![]()
