What did you do to your car today?

Graham did it fail on emissions first then u got a map tweet to help lower emissions? Who did tweet joe?

Yeah sent it in as it was.
Passed everything else but emissions were mental!
Got joe to tame it down for Nct re-test and it will be going back to normal after I get the Nct.
It's very tame at the moment....

A car that's mapped should be the very same as standard if mapped correctly the only extra fuelling required is on boost

I've heard a few on here saying map / map tweeks don't effect emissions graham that's what got me curious

I'm not going to say anybody cant map, but all I know is Andy forest mapped my wagon in 2007 it was tested four time while I had it and never failed emissions Ithink that says alot

Yes that should be the case but if the lambda is turned off in the settings by accident it usually won't pass emissions due to being in open loop fueling in around idling and light throttle. Would be running slight richer than with closed loop/lambda enabled.

Basically like unplugging the lambda . The mapping would be 100% except for that.

I would imagine any mapper doing a road car would check this while doing the map

Can still be overlooked though. The first map after my engine build , lambda was turned off .Also has a effect on fuel economy

Andy did mine first too many, years ago, same as dec never failed an Nct.
Have no clue about Subaru mapping!
Car runs well and feels 100%.

If that was overlooked what else was

Only if ecu has closed loop ability.

Latest alcatek now has. Eariler didnt.

But if it on factory ecu and that was what was mapped then 110% should have passed providing original size injectors. Maf working. Air fuel sensor working and cats working.

That group n map bypasses the mad too, would that have an effect on it? That's what you have on the car now graham isn't it? Do you have any issues with light throttle in the low revs?

Yeah think that's it rob. Think my maf is fcuked too and not used.
It's running off the map sensor I think?

No probs with light throttle in traffic at all.
Car runs great.

I can't hold 2k revs without it chugging like a learner driver, something to do with switching between open loop and closed loop, most of the reason I've only started the car once this year :icon_hang:

Runs through the map sensor alright, couldn't think what it was

Well if you have not been driving car because of that well its time to remove that rom file.
