Delighted ye got her back in one piece ;) isn't it a shame though that we have to call you " lucky " to have got YOUR OWN CAR back safe and sound after SOMEONE WHO DIDN'T OWN IT took it for a spin :evil: to hell with everything else for the moment, I'm getting a Clifford fitted as soon as I can...

Clifford with anti hijack and proximity alarm and flashing clifford logo in the windscreen :thumbsup:
I love the proximity alarm, No better deterant than a car that beeps at you if you even stand beside it!
I'm delighted it worked out so well for you!

Cheers lads, have an alfa 166 for the last few days so things arent all bad. I think i was very lucky, whatever happened, I think it blew a fuse and then refused to start again for them bunch of scummers. Thats my Betty I tell ye, she knows who her daddy is and doesnt like any1 else drivin her. They broke the ignition so im hoping that its just a bad ground in there thats causing it to blow fuses. Lishagh was good enough to send 1 down from donegal for me for free. :thumbsup: Its not a direct fit so will have to rewire the connector. Just bad timing that I've been working 12 hour shifts the last few days and havent had a chance to do it yet but will tomorrow as long as it doesnt snow. Will get it up and running again and this week and then a clifford alarm and some some other deterrents too. I was really naive looking back not thinking it would happen to me but im thankful that i got it back in 1 piece. Thanks for yer replies every1 :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Well got the car up and running on Friday evening last week, replaced the starter motor which was completely fried and she started up straight away, but it had various warning lights on which i hoped were the missing fuses as not one motor factors in Dublin seems to stock fuses for jap imports. Eventually got the fuses from a lad with a complete fusebox from a broken B4. And the lights then disappeared, YAY!! :dance: :dance: Got a full diagnostic on the car this morning and it got the all clear, no errors, which is why im only posting now (didnt want to count my chickens) So here goes, a list of people who helped me out no end;

@ Lishagh - for sending me down a new ignition barrel (free of charge) and some great advice :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

@ Scoobyke - for coming down (even with my sh1te directions) and givin up yor time to help me get the intercooler off and the starter motor out. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

@ Davelegacy - for coming down on really short notice and taking the car home for meand then spending an age trying to get it started :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

@ Moorz - for all your parts and help :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

:clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap:

Thanks lads :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Good stuff glad to hear your sorted and fair play to all the lads who gave you a hand.
Thats why this club is what it is :clap: :clap:

Sorry to hear hear that dude. know exactly how you feel. Had my first car stolen (a lovely red honda civic) by scumbags in cork, crashed and written off. Its was worth £3500 at the time, I only got £1800 from the insurance. Absolutely gutted at the time. Guards called to my house at 4am to tell me.

It was never proven but the same guys (im 99% sure it was them) who took mine were killed joyriding a few years ago. They were known for taking 2 cars the exact same and racing them.

Karma.
