What did you do to your car today?

dropped the car into to get resprayed this morning, Ill be without it for about 2 weeks or so. On the bike so to get in and out of work. That should help with the fitness levels

Took it for ride other evening over Wicklow Gap with little one with me. We were enjoying views, slow pace. Was very Nice.
Now, after electronic parts has been cleaned last week at garage, I have much better response from throttle, way better.
Organizing blanking plates for a moment, will get valves and pump cleaned with ultrasonic bath and of needed, dry ice blasting (cost of whole thing should be low enough).
Looks like there was plenty of cossosion on some cables, I will try to find something good on Cleaning it and safe to be used on plugs.
Cant source used parts, so need to improvise. Dont have extra money to buy something else while this one is sorted thats Why will do plates for time being and will try to get it sorted.

Sounds like a pain in the hole. Blanking plates won't be easy fit With engine but better that a 3k .
 
Easy enought as it is Non turbo. Not saying it will be 10 minutes but defo easier than turbo. Pain big time. But car drives much better now (strange to say but I wouldnt know that it might be better as I thought it should be like that, but after Cleaning rust on plugs is way better)!

So it turns out I can't just get the chips and scratches sorted. Because of the pearl colour the bumper and bonnet needs doing and then flashed in with wings otherwise the difference will be noticeable. I'll weigh up my options and decide then on whether to get the whole car done or just the front end for the time being.
 
Just think a clean original car is worth more than freshly sprayed car mark .

I've nearly painted my bumpers so many times but would rather the car be original bodywise . If I ever went to sell it I can say the car isn't perfect but it's original and not hiding any history
 
Considered a respray but would have to take it off the Road as my daily then I'd be too freaked out to bring it anywhere

Drive it on I say????

Anyway I split the shocks and fitted grease nipples and reassembled them. All that remains is to pump them full of grease and fit them when I can get a quiet time in the garage.
What is the best grease to use?

Fitted the greased up rear shocks and success, no more knocking.
