Finished until i make more changes in January with fmic, injectors and turbo! done on the dyno and checked on the road using Ecuedit and other software. Was running a bit hot towards the end of the session as expected but was making consistent power and stable boost and knock control spot on. Its harder to get the power from the legacy's because of the smaller hood scoop and tmic, will see what power it makes on the RR day, but probably similar to last year unless i get the FMIC i have modified and fitted before then

cool pic from today:

Hey Brads, sorry to do this now but its for your own good. Carplan stuff is rubbish,so is turtle wax and so is armor all. For a car shampoo I cant recommend "muc-off" enough, its €15 a litre but lasts ages, and its ph neutral so no lime marks-its almost a wax and wash in one. For waxes and polishes I use auto glym or meguiars-both are easy to work with and give decent finishes. Also please don't use a sponge to wash your car-it'll do more harm than good-get yourself a lambswool washmit. Sponges collect grit and destroy paintwork in swirlmarks. Armor all leaves a nasty scum everywhere that is not easy to get rid of if it drys in. Strange as it may seem the best thing i've found for dash and interior plastics is pledge furniture polish!

Cheers for the reply fella. DannyB is the man that recommended everything, put my trust into the man who has been looking after paintwork for a long time. I'll see how I go with this stuff first and let you know.

each to their own man, i have being using this stuff for years with new and old paint, the turtle wash wax is great i think, as is the demon shine, its great for that fast clean once you have the car waxed before hand with a good quality wax and i will agree with you on the auto glym its all i use when it comes to wax

The armor all wipes are very handy i think for a good quick wipe over because i dont get much time to look after my car i tend to clean it while waiting on the misses to finish work so in that way it works for me, as for the sponge once you keep it well rinsed i cant see any problem with it

I have always had a non existent cold start on the wagon due to having an entry level Autronic Smc ecu. Have searched for info and emailed Autronic with my map and they said it should work with the settings that are on it changed the valve also for a known working one and no difference. When you start it stone cold it will idle at about 300-400rpm which really is not enough.
After some testing what I have done is wire a switch in to cut the power to one side of the valve to allow it to open enough to give about 1200-1300rpm which will keep the oil pressure up and heat the engine up faster.
