You must be a doctor because you have loads of Patients AndyUpdate August 12th 2023
So 7 weeks ago it was agreed the car would be finished today but it isn't. I'm not disappointed or shocked by this as I was fully expecting it wouldn't be finished based on this guys track record. Car is still in primer, front and rear bumpers NOT in primer and need some filler work. As you can see from the pictures above a good bit of work has been done but it's not finished by today as agreed.
There are other issues too.
1. the fog light covers and mounting brackets from the front bumper have been lost. These were on the bumper when he took possession of it on October 6th 2021.
2. The pink "i" badge off my grille has been "lost". It was on the grille when he took possession of the car. My guess is one of his former employees pinched it. In the 2 years I'm going there I've seen probably half a dozen different lads working for him.
This is the second time there has been an issue with parts being lost. The front and rear bumper support bars which I supplied new from Subaru back in 2021 have also been lost and I had to supply them again new from Subaru. As for who is going to cover the cost of these replacements it is yet to be seen. He is claiming he never had the first pair of new ones.
3. zero work has been done to prep and paint the P2000 spoiler. A spoiler I gave him last March 6th.
I was at the garage this morning and he told me the car will be painted on Wednesday. Final assembly of trim pieces, front and rear windscreen back in etc etc after that. So it looks like it will drag on into September.
It's still at the bodyshop Ken. I went on holiday on August 30th. Got back Sunday Sep 10th. I was at the bodyshop the day before going away and was told the car would be painted for when I got home. Given the fact I've not been sent any pictures of a painted car I can only assume it's still in primer, 4 weeks after the agreed completion date.Well Andy, have you many miles put up on her?![]()
So you have got a solicitor involved, so what now are the repercussions for him seen as do he is missing agreed deadlines? Going with a solicitor doesn’t seem to be after having any real impact on himIt's still at the bodyshop Ken. I went on holiday on August 30th. Got back Sunday Sep 10th. Looks well Andy I'm delighted for youUPDATE Sep 18th 2023. Got sent some pictures today. We have 74F!
I'm assuming the rest of the car will be done tomorrow.
Yup thats what I asked for, as in 74F gloss engine bay. That bit looks well hope he moves on with the rest
Shouldn't really be full gloss under the bonnett or even 74f but if that's what you agreed good stuff
I'd say you'd take pink at this stage
Ive had a car done by him , paint work excellent, time keeping not so muchLooks to be a thorough job to be fair to him
