Ford Focus RS Performance Revealed: 0-62mph: 4.7 Seconds, 165mph

I think it comes down to this do you want a golf in the driveway or a focus on paper the golf wins purely on price if they were exactly the same price the focus is better because of power and toys (launch control drift mode etc )

just had a read on it there and apparently they both have haldex based systems except the golf can only deliver 50% drive to the rear wheels the focus can deliver 70% in drift mode but basically same tech

@wagondec

Can you tell me which garage one should ring to get a firm price and delivery time? I rang two ford garages today, neither got back to me. How much for one with standard alloys and rubber, straight sale, recaros a must though.

Thanks

Yeah haldex system dec.
A lot of different car manufacturers use that system.

Have seen it a few times when under a few cars.

It's disappointing ford are not using something more sophisticated. No mention of Haldex in any of the ford marketing bumpf that I've seen.

I'd be surprised if it was as good in the snow as an sti (both with winter rubber). Important for them steep hills

Volvo and lots of manufacturers use haldex with their cars and jeeps it's a really good system iv never seen any issues and ford have been using it since the kuga 4x4 was launched. The system in the focus is very sophisticated with torque vectoring, and adjustable diff settings etc
